When I was studying and working in the US, what I missed most was my mom’s cooking. Whether fresh or frozen, the store-bought food was bland. I was not impressed and decided to do something about it. 

After some experimentation, we found the method of freeze-drying, which preserves without any preservatives. I was able to enjoy homemade food, made with love, while being on the other side of the planet. But, for a moment, the distance disappeared.
